Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions - Newman University, Wichita, KS

Occupational Summary:

The Director will work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM) to develop and refine a robust and innovative enrollment strategy designed to meet the adult degree completion and graduate programs enrollment goals of the University. Working in collaboration with Academic Program Directors and Enrollment Management colleagues, the Director is responsible for the implementation and assessment of a goal and mission-driven strategy throughout all phases of the recruitment, admission, enrollment, and the matriculation cycle.

Work Performed:

  1. Establish and forecast new adult and graduate student enrollment projections by creating longitudinal pacing models of application yields by programs.
  2. Analyze and interpret historical and current data, seeking trends and identifying areas for growth, change, and further investigation/research.
  3. Advise and inform the VPEM in regards to key indicators in the data and provide insight for determining short and long term institutional goals.
  4. Responsible for primary recruitment functions of the adult and graduate students through point-of-contact with prospective students, follow up communication with leads/referrals, setting appointments and conducting interviews and attendance at recruiting events.
  5. Develop, implement, execute and evaluate activities and programs which create and expand awareness about the value of education and the benefits of attending the University, with emphasizes on outreach to the community, adults, and businesses.
  6. Assist the Academic Program Directors, the VPEM and the Director of University Relations in development of a comprehensive marketing plan for adult and graduate programs.
  7. Build effective professional working relationships with all academic departments, program deans/directors and other campus colleagues involved in the recruitment, enrollment and retention of new adult and graduate students.
  8. Ensure all applications, both traditional and otherwise, are processed and evaluated in a timely manner.
  9. Maintain prospective student database of leads and applications for adult and graduates.
  10. Create and manage communication strategies for prospective students for all adult and graduate programs including letters, email, phoning, and personal appointments. Ensures contact with every prospective student via phone or email with expediency upon prospect inquiry.
  11. Review current policies and practices regarding academic program recruitment and make recommendations for improvement based on best practices.
  12. Represent the university and its programs and activities at events and locations such as: community fairs, business educational fairs, community/adult centers or agencies throughout the region.
  13. Develop and maintain adult and graduate recruitment portion of Admissions and Outreach websites; assure the accuracy of web content pertaining to adult and graduate recruiting process and program requirements.
  14. Collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid and other appropriate colleagues to optimize the use of aid in order to maximize yield.
  15. Manage a budget and associated timelines.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  1. Must have at least 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in admission with a proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding enrollment goals.
  2. A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred.
  3. Proven success in executing on strategies to meet enrollment goals.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively document policies and procedures.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external constituents, including parents and alumni.

Enrollment Operations Manager - Newman University, Wichita, KS

Occupational Summary

The Enrollment Management Division consists of the Office of Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid at Newman University. The Office of Admission serves as the University’s front door to prospective students, their families, and others who actively participate in the university search process. Many individuals receive their first (and, often, lasting) impression of Newman University through their interaction with the admission staff. Under the direction of the Director of Undergraduate Admission, the Enrollment Operations Manager is responsible for the planning and management of admission operations, application processing, systems integrations and data flow, and customer service for all student populations. The Enrollment Operations Manager supervises the admissions processing staff.

Worked Performed:

  1. Overall accountability for the processing of all applications and inquiries for all student populations.
  2. Overall accountability for all correspondence communications as part of the admissions communication flow, including the management of letters and print mailings as well as static and dynamic email marketing campaigns.
  3. Implementation and management of Admissions, Financial Aid and university data management systems.
  4. Supervision of the integration of campus technology solutions with service provider platforms, including data file management.

  10. Serve as primary enrollment division liaison with institutional technology department in regards to database and systems management.
  11. Review and document data flow and operational processes and provide ongoing training for operations and other admission staff.
  12. Participate actively in the overall enrollment and retention efforts of Newman specifically contributing to the Admissions leadership team.

Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Strong customer service skills.
  3. Familiarity with Empower or other student information systems.
  4. Experience with system implementations and the creation of data file layouts.
  5. Experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms and communication flow management.
  6. Knowledge of new technology implementations.
  7. Experience working in an Admissions office and personnel management.
  8. Management experience, preferably in an operations setting.

Admissions Representative - Barton Community College, Great Bend, KS

Job Description

Responsible to successfully implement the college’s recruitment plan, be a representative of the college, and be an integral component of the the Admissions team.

 

Job Responsibilities

49% - Recruitment of students. This includes but not limited to: develop and implement recruitment plan; travel and participate in high school visits, college and community fairs, and community events; relationship development with students, parents, high school personnel, and other key constituents.

19% - Customer Service. This includes but not limited to: building internal relationships; information sharing with campus personnel; assist college personnel in recruitment of students; serve as liaison between the college and prospective students/parents; conduct campus visits with students as needed; response to other customer/student needs.

17% - Assist in daily operations of Admissions Office. This includes but not limited to: training, managing, and assisting with student ambassadors and student employees; assisting in Admissions daily tasks; and assisting where needed.

Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Physical Requirements

The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with the lighter activities. Job requires minimal agility and dexterity.

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office or classroom.

 

Wages/Other

The hourly rate for this position is $12.13 to $13.44
