University Registrar - Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management in the division of Student Engagement & Enrollment Services (SEES), the University Registrar oversees a significant portfolio of responsibilities with a focus on supporting student success, supporting the academic enterprise, and supporting the overall mission of the University. The University Registrar manages a complex organization overseeing all operational, financial, personnel, policy, and information technologies within the office and, as a key leader within the division, the University Registrar analyzes and interprets data to shape institutional discussions, trends, policies, processes, and strategic practices. The University Registrar provides leadership and oversight to all aspects of the office of the Registrar including data integrity, operational efficiency, registration, both course scheduling and classroom scheduling, veteran’s benefits eligibility, all student records, athletic eligibility for an NCAA Division I program, grade processing, University degree requirements, degree audit, student information systems, and graduation.

The University Registrar serves as the FERPA compliance expert and student academic data custodian, ensures the management, maintenance, and integrity of student records, and serves on critical University committees to provide expertise regarding compliance, records, and curricular issues for students, faculty, staff, and other constituents. The University Registrar is expected to be a leading partner in the continued development and maintenance of the student data infrastructure including insuring secure administrative systems, accurate reporting of student information data, and the Registrar plays a central role in the development and implementation of University academic and administrative policies affecting students and courses. The University Registrar leads a staff of 23 and manages a $1.6 million budget.

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree and several years of progressively responsible experience in a comprehensive registrar’s office or closely related academic services area. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience with enterprise and student information systems; the ability to apply technology to processes and procedures to create efficiencies; and knowledge of a registrar’s office professional standards including federal and state laws as applied to student records and FERPA. It will be important for the University Registrar to exhibit familiarity with policy issues, system evaluations, change processes, curriculum delivery systems, and best practices for designing efficient technology based structures to support student success. A collaborative style, strong interpersonal and team development skills, excellent judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking and analytical abilities—with sophisticated project management proficiencies—will be necessary skills for the new University Registrar.

High School Recruiting Specialist - Wichita Area Technical College, Wichita, KS

Job Summary:

The High School Recruiting Specialist supports the College’s enrollment goals for traditional students. This individual will manage travel schedules, implement recruitment strategies and build relationships with high school personnel, prospective students and other constituents using various forms of communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the development and documentation of the WATC Recruitment Plan.
  2. Cultivates interest in WATC.  Visits targeted high schools, contacts prospective and interested students, attends college fairs, fosters relationships with church groups and community leaders to build positive rapport and create connections with groups and organizations such as Gear Up, Kansas Kids, Heritage Panel, AVID, etc.

  4. Creates and implements new programs and marketing tools to focus on first generation college students and their families.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:

Admissions Counselor & Territory Manager - Mid-America Nazarene University, Olathe, KS

This professional is responsible to manage an assigned territory and associated head count, quality and net tuition revenue goals. The Director of Residence Life is responsible for all facets of Residence Hall management.  The Director will develop and maintain a residential environment that is conducive to the overall development of students.  This person is responsible for 4 residential facilities with a maximum of 380 residents.  A high degree of student interaction is expected.  Supervisory duties as described below.  Evening and weekend work is required.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs.

Admissions Representative - Dodge City Community College, Dodge City, KS

JOB SUMMARY

The Admissions Representative will assist in the development and implementation of recruitment and enrollment goals for Dodge City Community College, as well as actively participate in all admissions related events. The selected individual will maintain communication with prospective students and manage assigned recruitment territory. This position will need an outgoing self-starter who is able to effectively work in multiple types of environments. The Admissions Representative will regularly be tasked in assisting with the development of recruitment materials, facilitation of special events, presentations and the advising of new students for enrollment.

Admissions and Recruiting Coordinator - Seward County Community College, Liberal, KS

Responsibilities
Serves as an integral part of the college's enrollment management plan through recruiting events, activities, and admissions. Assist prospective students in the admissions and enrollment processes in the Admissions Office. Will work cooperatively with the Admissions Secretary in the Admissions Office to assist walk-on prospective students. Selection Process
The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserve the right to limit the number of interviews granted.  Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant an interview.  Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the time and place of the interview.  Interviews are usually conducted on campus by the search committee.  Additional interviews and/or teaching demonstrations may be required.

Job Summary

The Admissions Director's primary role is to direct and oversee the student recruiting and admissions process. The Director leads a department comprised of two Assistant Directors and a dynamic, diverse team of Admissions Counselors.

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, manage, evaluate, select, hire, and coach all Admissions team members, as well as participate in key Admissions-related activities and events.
  • Maintain current knowledge of existing, innovative and new recruiting and admissions strategies, practices, and approaches. To test new strategies or approaches to maximize effectiveness and relevance of the student Admissions experience, implementing those that have significant impact on improving performance.
  • Develop, execute, and assess data that reflects the performance effectiveness of the recruiting and admissions functions. Present the university leadership and stakeholders with studies, reports, and analyses of admissions data, as requested.
  • Collaborate across campus and serve as a communications liaison to ensure that all departments are working towards common well-understood goals with the proper support, and are working as one team to serve students. Partner in and direct a coordinated financial aid, advisement and registration processes for new students.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current or prospective students and partners to build an effective, long-term recruitment pipeline and achieve institutional goals.
  • Assess, create and/or implement departmental processes and procedures with the input of the team and other key stakeholders, as necessary.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional literature and display materials for recruiting and admissions;  ensure appropriate coordination of Admissions and Communications staff.
  • In conjunction with the Vice President of Enrollment Management, develop, manage, and adhere to the Admissions department budget, including accurate forecasting of needs; be a forward and proactive thinker in areas such as: staffing, structure, marketing and recruiting strategies, and event management.

Experience, Education & Training Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience and leadership of a team with > 10 members is needed. Experience in an Admissions, Recruiting and/or University setting is strongly preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree plus demonstrated knowledge, competence and significant experience in higher education admissions and/or enrollment management is required. An advanced degree and/or Bachelor's degree in educational administration, communications, business, marketing or related field is strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities Needed:

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, mathematical, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use technology efficiently and effectively to manage and track work is required; experience with working in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool Campus Nexus (formally known as Talisma) is strongly preferred.
  • Self-directed with a relational approach to team building and leadership.
