Elections PRESIDENT-ELECT: The President-Elect shall assist the President, chair the Executive Council in the President's absence, and in the event of the President's inability to serve, shall assume the duties of the President without consequence to the ensuing term as President. After a one-year term, the President-Elect shall succeed to the presidency of the Association. The President-Elect shall serve as the Chair of the Program Committee. VICE PRESIDENT FOR ADMISSIONS SERVICES: The Vice President for Admission Services shall: 1) be responsible for the pre-conference New Counselor Workshop at the annual conference; 2) be responsible for conducting surveys related to admissions; 3) be responsible for staying abreast of legislative issues as related to admissions; 4) serve as a member of the Program Committee; 5) serve as a mentor to student members, particularly those with interest in admissions; 6) be responsible for encouraging interest in membership into the Association and of those already a member of the Association; 7) to report documented unethical professional ethics, as referred to in Article II, Section 2, to the Executive Council; and 8) assist the President as requested. The Vice President for Admission Services shall serve a one-year term; no individual may serve full consecutive terms as Vice President for Admissions Services. VICE PRESIDENT FOR RECORDS AND REGISTRATION SERVICES: The Vice President for Records and Registration Services shall: 1) be responsible for a pre-conference Records and Registration Workshop at the annual conference; 2) be responsible for conducting surveys related to records and registration; 3) be responsible for staying abreast of legislative issues as related to records and registration; 4) serve as a member of the Program Committee; 5) serve as a mentor to student members, particularly those with interest in records and registration; 6) be responsible for encouraging interest in membership into the Association and of those already a member of the Association; 7) report documented unethical professional ethics, as referred to in Article II, Section 2, to the Executive Council; and 8) assist the President as requested. The Vice President for Records and Registration shall serve a one-year term; no individual may serve full consecutive terms as Vice President for Records and Registration Services. SECRETARY: The Secretary shall serve as the recorder for the Executive Council meetings, for the Association's annual business meeting(s) and other special meetings as called by the President. The minutes should be distributed to the Executive Council within thirty (30) calendar days of the meeting(s). The Secretary shall serve a one-year term; no individual may serve consecutive terms as Secretary. TREASURER: The Treasurer shall serve as the chief financial officer of the association with authorization to pay association bills. The Treasurer shall maintain the association financial records and be bonded. The Treasurer will prepare, at the direction of the Executive Council, an Association budget to be published thirty (30) calendar days in advance of the annual business meeting and present the Association financial report to the annual business meeting. The Treasurer shall be elected to a term of two years; no individual may serve consecutive full terms as Treasurer. It is strongly recommended that the new treasurer spend 1-2 days with the outgoing treasurer for an orientation of the association's financial records. Questions? Contact: |
