KACRAO Awards and
Accolades
Every year at the annual conference, KACRAO honors colleagues
in higher education as well as high school professionals
for
their service to post-secondary education in Kansas. The Accolades
and Awards Committee is chaired by the Past-President
and the
committee has the task of selecting award winners.

Description of Awards
Laura Cross Distinguished Service Award:
Our highest award
is presented to individuals who have served in the Admissions/Records/Registrar
profession for a substantial portion of their career,
and have
made significant contributions to KACRAO. * (LCDS)
Richard N. Elkins Special Service Award:
This honor
is bestowed for outstanding leadership and special dedication
to KACRAO. Active members who have made, or are currently
providing
significant contributions to the organization should be considered
for this award. *(RNES)
Beth Tedrow Outstanding New Professional Award: Please nominate
candidates who have been in the profession less than six years,
are active members of KACRAO,
and have served on at least one
committee. The nominees must be involved in one or more campus
committees. The intent of the award is to recognize new
professionals
for their achievements, involvement, and potential in the areas
of admissions and registration. *(BTONP)
Diane Barnes Mentoring Excellence Award:
To honor and encourage the efforts and accomplishments of KACRAO members who have served as dedicated and inspiring mentors to new Admissions and Registration professionals.
Certificate of Appreciation:
Individuals who have demonstrated
loyal and dedicated service to KACRAO should be nominated.
CPC
hosts, presenters at the annual meeting, non-members and retirees
may be considered. *(CA)
Honorary Membership:
Individuals who have contributed
significantly to the Association, but who are no longer eligible
to be institutional members may be considered for this honor.
