The President's Report

Hello Kacrao!

I hope all of you have been enjoying the beautiful weather this past month. I guess we were due for the large amounts of snow but I can never get use to all the ice associated with the storms. I am looking more and more forward to Aacrao in Seattle in April. Lets all pray for sunshine and no rain. HA

The Executive Council met at Newman University in Wichita on Feb. 2. I was glad to announce that Kacrao is officially incorporated! I received the articles of incorporation in January. After review of the information, small amendments are being made to correct a few small mistakes. I appreciate everyone's support with regards to this endeavor. It is a big step forward for the organization.

As stated earlier, Aacrao is right around the corner. I hope a number of you can make the trip. I am planning for a Kacrao get-together on Tuesday, April 25 from 6pm - 8pm at the annual conference. At this time, I am not sure of the location of this event. I will email the list serve as soon as I solidify the location. Aacrao meeting information can be found on the aacrao web site at www.aacrao.org. It looks like a super conference.

Kacrao will once again be exhibiting at the Kansas Counselors Association conference in Great Bend on March 8-9. This provides a great communication link between counselors and our association. Heather Eckstein from Pittsburg State will be leading the charge with this event.

Finally, before we know it, Kacrao 2001 will be here. Rumor has it that Manhattan is gearing up for a bunch of crazy registrars and admissions officers. Please remember to be in Manhattan by Tuesday night Sept. 25, because there are many wonderful activities planned for the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 26.

If anyone has any questions regarding Kacrao activities, please feel free to give me a call. Have a great spring semester.

Joey Linn

2000-01 President
