President's Report
Greetings!
Another national Aacrao conference has come and gone. For those of you who
made the trip to Seattle, I hope your travels were safe and you made it
back to your office refreshed and rested. The conference was filled with
many great sessions that provided some excellent professional development
opportunities.
Personally, I would like to thank all who attended the conference from
Kacrao. Kansas was once again well represented. More importantly, there
were several Kacrao professionals that presented sessions at Kacrao. I
won't mention them all in fear I may forget someone. You should all be
very proud of such a strong state association. Again and again, many
people from across the U.S. mention Kansas as having one of the strongest
associations in Aacrao.
On a different note, it is crucial that all of you nominate someone for a
leadership position in Kacrao. Rod Frey, Chair of the Nominations and
Elections committee, sent out the forms for you to use. In order for the
association to remain strong, we need volunteers to step up and take
action.
It is also that time of year to nominate someonoe for one of the many
Kacrao awards. Diane Barnes is leading this charge. You can find out
about the awards by going to the Kacrao web site, awards and accolades
section.
Finally, the professional development committee has been working hard on
the summer drive-in workshop. This workshop is scheduled for July 11in
Wichita. Plan on sending your support staff to this wonderful event.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful spring semester. If you have any
questions, comments or concerns about Kacrao, feel free to give me a call
at your convenience.
Joey Linn, President
Kacrao 2000-01
