What
have been your favorite memories of being a member of KACRAO?
I
have so many memories! My first year as an Admissions Counselor was an
unforgettable
time of my career. Members of KACRAO, such as Neal Hoelting,
would
play many pranks on me during the weeks of CPC's.
The
many conferences have been amazing. I treasure the friendships that have
developed
throughout my years in KACRAO.
How
has KACRAO assisted you in your professional development?
Becoming
involved in KACRAO early in my career helped me understand the
importance
of admissions. KACRAO can truly be a way to become more connected
to
the admissions and registrar professions.
What
is your advice to your fellow KACRAO members and colleagues new to the
profession?
Here
are just a few pieces of advice:
- Become
involved with KACRAO or other professional organizations
- Meet
KACRAO members from other institutions
- Ask
someone to be a mentor to you so you can learn from them |
